Nor had I - I was putting the obvious clues together.

Hmm. I used to get around 100 to reserve on a b12, down to 90 or so
    under hard running.

    180 miles, on the old-style 12, is la-la.

I'm still reasonably certain, as the engine is just a sleeved down
750, that the old 750 Slingshot top end goes straight on. ISTR
reading somewhere that just swapping the cams does wonders.

It's been said before, however, that if you want a faster bike, buy a
faster bike - B12s are plentiful, and relatively inexpensive. If you
wanted a go on one, you should have asked at BoSM - if you don't get a
chance before EoSM, remind me then.

Just replace the bores / pistons. Keeping the 600 head gives a higher
compression, and retains the nice bottom end / mid range stomp.
Thanks for the offer, but I'm not that fussed about getting a 1200. I'd
rather perk up my 600 a bit. I got given a gixer swing arm for nothing,
so that's going on. Got a bit of a problem with not having the wheel
    adjusters though. :(
