Thanks for the info G. Is the W designation applied to both the 1100 and the 750
    ?

Not looking at the whole bike - just the rear shock - the Bandit has preload
adjustable only, apparently the fully adjustable on out of the GSXR1100 and
early 90's 750 are a bolt in swap and there's one going cheap on Ebay (well I
*think* $30 is cheap anyway, haven't actually priced around at wreckers)

I think the W series ran all models 600/750/1100 from 1993 through 1998 or
    1999

Ta. I've stuck my bid in, hopefully it'll be the right one then, if not it'll
    make a paperweight :)

OK I've got this back from the seller -

"it has a gold sticker on it suzuki motor company ltd made by showa
    has preload
of 1 - 5 damping 1-4 measures 13" bolt to bolt from atop to bottom"

She didn't know whether it was off the 750 or 1100 (I'm guessing she's
cleaning out the garage of the ex boyfriends junk :)

So, guys, whaddaya reckon it's off ?

I'm not so keen on it now I know it's not 3 way adjustable .

So yo would think that it would be GSX-R1000-2K3 but that would sound stupid
    i guess.
