SUV to buy?

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Michael.Pasturi, May 23, 2007.

  1. Hi all, what SUV do you guys own & drive?

Need something to tow the boat and also the motorbike trailer.

Was thinking a Ford Territory, or the Mazda CX7 SUV, any thoughts

    Thanks

Depends very much on the boat. A Humvee would do it. BTW, you're only
allowed to tow one trailer, and shouldn't the motorcycle trailer be towed by
    the motorcycle?

    Yeah. Don't do it.

Get a Toyota Corolla to tow the bike trailer, and, with the money saved
from not buying a big heap of shit, upgrade the boat to one that lives
    in the water.

I think it's American for 'big thing to drive around the city'.

I've often wondered why it is that those who have a bad attitude toward
Americans are often the first to pick up their lingo...

I'll take your word for that, Geoff.
Well, I like my ozzie built, ozzie designed baby gin-palace, and, since
I don't need an excuse to just sit on the boat doing not very much,
drinking beer, I don't fish. Thus, no mess.
Stabicraft bring a new meaning to fugly.
If you really _must_ tow a boat, I agree with you, but those utes don't
    come cheap.

If you have some other, valid tax-deduction type reason for having one,
    great.

I guess you might then be able to save on not getting a motorcycle
    (carrying) trailer.

Have you really? Surely there are more interestings to wonder about, often.

After spending nearly a year there in 69-70 I came home with a really bad
Yankee accent. I even thought Laugh-In was funny, and I'm still a Gridiron
    fan.

stopped being funny after that season.

The trouble with Laugh-In is that it was mostly political comedy, and became
more so. If you weren't aware of what was happening in the US that very
week, you didn't get it. Of course, in Oz, where we got the program the next
    year......
