I know of the really good places to go down in the peninsula for
suspension adjustments, but how about the East Bay or Marin? Any good
places to go for those of us who live in the upper East Bay?

Dunno, but when I was in Sacramento I UPSed my forks for Aftershocks on a
Monday, they got them Tuesday, and I got them back Thursday. $10 in
    shipping.

I was looking for having the suspension (forks and shocks) adjusted
    for myself on my bike.

Thanks to both for the info.. I guess I was under the false
impression that they needed to have you and your bike there to do a
good adjustment, but from what you're saying they've done it so many
times that they can pretty much hit the mark without needing the bike
or rider as long as they know the specs on both. I'll give them a
call, I've heard some really great things about aftershocks on here,
    and Lindeman as well!

  5. went I went by Lindemann last year, he said they were WAY too busy to deal
with bikes most of the time, they just wanted the forks, you'd have to
    install them yourself.

They don't need to have you there to do the work.

If you want someone who can do it all and operates on a small scale
with one to one personal service check into California Suspension Works.
Curtis is owner, and sole technician.

    He's on the web.

  8. I think this depends on what time of year it is. If you call ahead
and make arrangements he'll measure the static sag and sag with your
rear planted in the seat. Give Jim a ring, he can tell you how
busy he is and whether they will pull the forks/shocks. His work is
excellent, so I think you should not hesitate to have him do the work.

    Just my $0.02 worth, YMMV.
