  1. Nice lot of good memories there I bet.
I've just got my FJ12 now. Since I half retired at 50 and fully at 55 I
have to juggle all the things I like to do with time, holidays and a
    very tolerant wife.
I just stick with the beer.

By the mid '60s I'd been told about sex, and met alcohol and tobacco.
    However, bikes won every time.

Indeed, and some physical mementos, like two cricket positions (Short
leg and long leg), a knee replacement and a few lumps on a lot of bones.
Haven't made any recently, though I have a bottle of Adnams SSB (Suffolk
    Strong Bitter) for emergencies.

When someone is trying to be helpful and gets attacked by several
people, all of whom appear to be clueless, is it altogether surprising
that abuse is going to be directed against these people?

Forgive my ignorance, but you appear to be kicking off at everyone in here
    these days.

Maybe if you backed off a little, people might listen to you more?

I'm well over the 150 mark now. On a normal week I probably ride 2 new
models at dealers I sell to. I don't think there's a significant bike
that's been made in the last 10 years that I haven't ridden at some
    point.

I hadn't even discovered masturbation by the end of the 60s, I was only

  9. Unlikely.

After posting inexactitude after inexactitude (You can't skim discs,
synthetic 2T oil buggers crank seals, Mortons owns Classic Bike, Fantic
never made a 250) nobody's ever going to take him seriously.

And as he'll be shouting from inside most k/files, nobody will hear him
    if he did.

  10. I haven't ridden many bikes made since.... hmf.... early 1990s, I
suppose. Never ridden a Blade, nor an R1, for example.

Rode just about everything made between 1984 and 1985, mind.

That's it, I'm fed up of owning a slut-bike. It's like being married to
my ex-wife again, everyone else has ridden my bike too.

Well I suppose if it is owning up time I can be as Liberal as the next
man and admit that I did go though a phase with scooters before I
discovered bikes but I am over it now. It is in the past. I was young
and not experienced in the ways the world. Let's not say any more about
    it.

But I bet if you were asked the direct question on TV you'd wouldn't lie
and say you'd never 'sat on scooters.'

TBH most of the time I was stood next to them putting them back together
    again.

See the trouble with simple machines is that they are easy to take apart
to see how they work. Not so easy is the trick of making "improvements"
and getting it all back together again as nature intended.
