YE FUCKING GODS MAN.... WHY were they shite, that's all I want you to explain. FRS -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr Space in shed where NSR125 used to be Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow), OMF#11
Ride something like a Superdream, XS250, or GS850 etc etc, and you will soon see why they are shite! k
As I don't have access to any of those machines, that is not going to happen. Anyway, it is *your* opinion as to why they are shite that I am interested in. Why are you evading answering the question? -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr Space in shed where NSR125 used to be Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow), OMF#11
Thats really the whole point..............I would imagine that very few of you have ever ridden that many different bikes, so you are in no position to say whats shite or not, and seem to go more on what you read or what dickheads like TOG tell you, than any sort of first hand experience! k
I give up. The only conclusion I can reach is that you have never been anywhere near a bike in your life. Twat. -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr Space in shed where NSR125 used to be Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow), OMF#11
Having tried to get anything like a sensible response from the pillock I have reached the same conclusion as you. I have now stopped. -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr Space in shed where NSR125 used to be Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow), OMF#11
Heh. I simply couldn't count the bikes I've ridden in my life. I've owned, at the last count, something like 250-300.
I have beren riding bikes since the late 60's, and have ridden and worked on quite a good selection of different machines...............just because I dont put a childish list at the end of my posts, doesnt mean I dont own and ride a bike! k
If this is indeed the case it seems strange that you are unable to even do a job like building a wheel...............do you have quite a long nose I wonder? k
(and is now in his early 70's) (apple corers, rotary lawn mowers, pop-up bumbershoots, and curling irons; but the riding was always more enjoyable than the working-on) Two questions: 1.) Raleigh, Rudge, or Schwinn? 2.) What brand of playing cards do you put on the spokes? doc
Strange that merely having a far wider knowledge of motorcycling matters elicits such hostility, from posters on here! k
Ooooo! Willy waving. Must resist. Can't! Started late in life did we? I was well into the number of bikes I've had by then and on my second house[1] and mortgage by the end of the 60s. Now I promise to be a good boy and try to ignore him. [1] Herne Bay on the Costa Geriatrica with 'Old Dears' driving split screen Morris Minors who had reaction times in minutes. Priority on roundabouts was given to the oldest driver as they probably hadn't seen you anyway.
Jack, the second word is "OFF" I was referring to Herne Bay drivers in their 90s and I ain't there yet!
By the mid '60s I'd had: BSA Dandy (not my choice - in those days you did as you were told until you were 21 innit!); G3 Matchless; 3 of 500cc AJS singles, Jampot model, 1938 AJS 38/2 990cc; 500cc Matchless, Jampot; 500cc Matchless twin, Jampot; D1 bantam; ZB31 (plunger) BSA; 1920 KTT Velocette; 1920 B20 2¾ hp Douglas; 1938 MSS Velocette; 1939 KSS Velocette; Vincent Black Bitza - was Knight, Shadow-ised, then Lightning-ated; Douglas T35 Mk1, Mk3, Mk3 Sports, Mk4, Mk4 Sports, Mk5, 90+, Trials, Dragonfly, and two spare Mk models; (650cc twin) Triumph Trophy. Now just have a pile of bits - unknown rigid frame, 1929 Villiers 197, Albion handchange box and a lot of other bits. Oh, and a BMW R80, and a sidecar ready to hang on it. I think that's all, but a bit much for a sig innit.
Rusty Hinge 2 wrote discovered sex, drugs, and rock n roll. I didn't give a toss about bikes. By the late 60's I had recanted on the bikes.
