Just a warning to anyone taking a run into mid or west Wales over the
next few weeks.... the surface dressing gangs are out in force on the B
and unclassified roads and they appear to be throwing far too much of
    the stuff down.

Just what is the point in surface dressing anyway? - in this weather all
that'll happen is that it'll end up in neat piles down both edges and
    the middle of the road.

To make 40 mph into an arse clenching speed when you hit it unexpectedly on
a bendy single width country lane (as I did earlier today) ...

Only arse clenching? I went with the bike surfing and wife breaking option.

There was a certain amount of discussion on this subject - it wasn't
them shite old Avons that let go on you, was it?

Commiserations on the falling over and wifely damage, btw.

I heard about this when we were on the island. Are you going to become
a convert to the anti-azaro group or are you going to try and weasel
out of it by claiming gravel/diesel caused the accident?

Hope you and the wife are ok btw, bikes are only toys and easily
    replaced with a better one.

Why? I'm on my second wife so she should take it as a compliment.

I can't blame the tyres, just the fact that marbles make for shite grip.
    Thankfully I wasn't going quickly.
Cheers and she's on the mend now the operations are over and done with (for
    now).

See other post. It wouldn't have mattered which tyres were on the bike.
The bike was almost unscathed. A broken mirror, indicator and rad shroud. Oh
and a small dentette on the tank. The wife wasn't so lucky.

lol. I had to go back and find the original to see if you'd changed
    it.

I'm on a second husband too.
