I haven't worn a watch for the last couple of year. Not since I got
that pimp watch watch from darsy.

I've been tempted to add one of those, but every time I buy another
watch it gets used for only a short time before going back in the box
and the Heuer goes back on instead.

I know one person who lurks here who would happily pay top money for a
Daniels watch. The problem is prising one loose from the collectors.

 

I was bought the non-radio Skyhawk for my 5th wedding anniversary.
Lovely watch, but the strap has broken (IIRC) 4 times so far.

I have a Tag now.

Time slave? Not with my watch. I'm lucky if I get the hour right, never
mind the minute. If I want to know the time I look at the PC.

For you.

You may be surprised to learn that there are many people for whom
telling the time is the _only_ reason to own a watch. Picking one that
looks good & feels good, and perhaps projects a cetain image is part
of the selection process, but not the primary criterion, which, for me
and I'm sure many others, remains simply how easy it is to tell the
time with, followed closely by its accuracy and reliability.
