Well, I quite fancied one, so I got one, as you do.

    A CCM R30 644, in the OTC.

In town, great. Pootling past traffic on throttle rollon/off. - Check.

On a dark rainy windswept A3, with a dim glow issuing from the headlamp
in the pissing rain at 80MPH, in the thinnest jacket i've got (don't
ask) in jeans (don't ask), rattling my fillings out, I was wondering
where the attraction was, I have to admit.

Oh, and it made my arse cheeks sore, and my plums where they'd been
banging themselves off the (Narrow|rock hard) seat.

Can someone tell me when my epiphany will happen ?

    Cheers

    Paul.

Motorway tools, they're not and try wearing something fitting for the
    prevailing conditions, you plum.
Should've got yourself an XT mate. 200 mile comfort without so much as a
    twinge.
When you realise that 100mph is never going to be enough ;)

They're not ideal on motorways and the like, it's true. Try another route
    ....
You get used to it - either the seat, or your arse (not sure which) gives way
    after a couple of months.

    Sure, it's a hoot.

Not sure about its distance touring ability tho' ;-)

Just out of interest, what's yours like on fuel and top speed?

Mine returns 50mpg WFO for a couple of hours which I think is fairly
respectable, if slow at (depending on wind direction) between 99mph and
    111mph[1]

[1] Could probably get more if I laid on the tank but I think that would
    look silly.

    - when you ride in very twisty roads.

    - when you have a track day in a large go-karts track.

I've seen someone deciding to sell the ZX12R and go for a road legal
    supermoto (had a KX125 one)

I did Milan and back for a week two-up on a Gilera Nordwest in 94. Did
take three days there and three days back though. BTW it was late
October and on the way back there was 4 inches of snow on the approach
    to the Mont Blanc tunnel.

Did you try the bike or read any reviews before you bought it? Sounds not.

What you probably needed was a KTM Superduke.

Seats are made from concrete. My KTM is a little better, but not much in
    respect of comfort.
