Super Motarded?

I'm pretty sure that I'll have the EX out of my garage with in the next
month or so and I'm already looking for something else.

I really don't want another sport bike. I've got the ZX for the track,
and the RS is a sport-tourer.

I don't want a cruiser. I don't think this needs to be explained.

A standard like the Z1000 or Tuono would be awesome, but I want
something light and fun. One of the things that I like about the EX is
that it doesn't have pavement-shredding power.

I'm pretty certain that a motard is what I want. The Duke is an obvious
candidate, but too "normal" so I'm thinking about making my own, based
    on a KLX400.

Does anyone have any good resources for building a motard?

    Thanks
    -B

  2. Oh, come on. Don't you know that grinding bits in turns is supposed
to happen all the time? Even when you change lanes? :)

is pictures of one (DRZ-400S, but thats the same bike), so its been
    done before.

Sounds like it would be a real hoot.

i no longer have the web site hosted, but I have a "how I did it" with
step by step and liks to sources, for turning a DRZ-400S into a motard.

that's the Zook version of the Kawi.

    A) I'll send you my files if you want them
    B) If you get to San Jose, I'll let you see/ride it
    C) www.thumpertalk.com has a forum on DRZs and Motards

It is a great fun bike, I giggle every single time I ride it..

U.S. promoters apparently had the same thought! The sport is
    being called "supermoto" here.

I just checked the DMV online database and discovered that the
license plate "NO TARD" is available. Lessee, if I put that on
my 'Zuki, with "SUPER" written on the top of the license plate
    frame..
