The coating I was talking about is design to fit on the back of a normal
visor, or behind it. Peter Stevens Dandenong sells them for about $30, but
I don't know how or how well they work, but I think that they do go clear as
it gets dark, and tint when the sun comes out.

Nah, mine are just the basic plastic rimmed bolle. Similar to the bug eye
oakley (eye jackets, I think) but with a smaller lense. I would steal my
dads sunglasses, but I don't want to look like a seventies porn star!

I better find out about that. I thought you meant the coated
    sunglasses.

    Cheers

If you do try them, can you post a review on them. I'm interested as to how
    well they work

ps, I use a pair of ARBOR (?)tinted wrap arounds
bought from a safety shop for < $20 (tax deductable
too) They don't slide down my nose like others that
I've had do. But, being wrap arounds, they don't
fold up as well to fit in a carry case.

I have a pair of Ray Bans that cost me about $150 quiet a few years
agi that I am still using quiet happily. Have never put them in a
sunglasses ouch, just straight into my pocket and they are just
developing light scratches now. May be Ray Ban has come down in price?

    Anyway, I certainly recommend them.

    Cheers.

So what? I always ride in my glasses (with or without clip-on sunnies),
because I more or less need to (although my eyes are improving with age),
and because I have to: it says on my licence, "Licensee must wear corrective
    lenses at all times".

I bought a pair at the last bike show in Sydney. They are made by "piranha"
and are excellent. They have lots of coloured frames and different coloured
lenses and come with a pouch that clips on your belt. They are not polarised
either, which is good as polarised glasses make for some weird effects when
    looking through a clear visor.
They cost me $30 so you could get 3 pairs for $90

Polarised are good but you get a rainbow effect looking through a clear
visor. Very weird, sorta like bein' on the drugs. Not that I'd know what
thats like. Piranha motorcycle sunnies are the best, I reckon. And no, I
    dont own the business.:)

You kinda get used to the "drugs effect". The real stage bit is that all
    white cars look baby pink!

I put a anti-fog liner on my clear visor that is "photo chromatic". ie:
it darkens or clears according to ambient light. Seems to work OK.

    Cost around $30.

Adjusting your watch doesn't change the rotation of the earth. :)

No matter what your watch says the sun still goes down in the west two hours
after it goes down in the east.

Why do people bother with daylight savings if they don't understand it?

    Two hours, eh?
Sunrise is about 6.25 am (dst) here (Hobart), sunset is 7.30, GMT +9. What
are the corresponding times in Perth? What are the corresponding times just
west of the South Australian border?
No 's' on the end of 'saving'. 'Savings' implies an accumulation. Why do
people bother using words if they don't understand them?
