I think the term keeper is actually more appropriate.

  2. Agreed, but look at the era: a four-cylinder bike was exotic then. A
    four-cylinder 400 amazing.

Plus on the road, it gave everything up to 750s a run for their money.
Not in outright top speed (although it was only 10-15mph behind the
CB750) but in handling and braking and sheer usability.

Plus it had a superb riding position - was just *so* sweet and smooth.

Yes, it was an overbored tweaked CB350F in a new suit, but it was much
more than the sum of its parts. After the CB92 and CB77, it was one of
    the first truly sporting Hondas.

No, I had a Japanese/American servicewoman for a girlriend many years
ago. She told me. I may have got some of the details slightly incorrect,
but as I was told this over 15 years ago that's hardly surpriing. My
memory's so bad I can't even remember what I had for dinner yesterday.

Noted for future arguments about the handling of larger '70's Jappers.
Not for me it wasn't. Near crippled meslf riding one from Leeds to London.
Ended up with me feet on the pillion rests :)

OK TOG you successfully hijacked my thread 'cos I wasn't online much while
    I was in scotland :)

Just to try to get back to non-jap classics for a minute, and give Mark a
bit more of a plug, heres a pic of him on a proper handling '70's bike
which he rebuilt after it was in the same accident in which he nutted the
    lamp post over...

I'm rather hoping the old Essex one will be bringing the Frankfurt beast
    to Africa.

"I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking, did he bring his
banjo, or did he bring his other banjo? Well, to tell you the truth, I
kinda lost track myself in all this excitement. But seeing as this is a
five-string banjo, one of the two most powerful banjoes that I currently
own, you've got to ask yourself one question: do I feel lucky? Well, do ya,
    punk?"

Why not? The one in Frankfurt was Lithuanian.

In Morocco, they'd probably take her for an albino...
