So has it started yet? Or do we wait until Dec 1st to start bleeding for "the cause"?? The cops won in Wollongong last year, and I'm not keen to see the dirty buggers win again. I'm due to donate a unit of O-neg, but I'll put it off for a few weeks until the challenge is on if needed. Anyone know? --James ZZR250==>ZX9R __________________________________ A random quote of nothing: <mdorman> I'm a gnus person myself. It's an editor! It's a floorwax! It's a dessert topping!
Doesn't the blood challenge run for at least the minimum length of time the BB prescribe between donations? So if this donation doesn't fall within the challenge period, the next one will. The challenge is a by-product of blood donation, not the other way round, it is supposed to encourage more donations from people who don't make regular blood donations, not cause regular donors to make fewer donations !! But if you get a donation in the first week or two of the challenge you can squeeze (no pun intended) 3 donations into the challenge period. If you go early, you'll only get two in before the challenge is over. BTW, for the record, I regularly get speshul calls from the red cross coz they're always running short on O-neg (universal donor). I bleed more than most as it is, and I don't like blood - especially my own! --James ZZR250==>ZX9R __________________________________ A random quote of nothing: There is no sincerer love than the love of food. -- George Bernard Shaw

This brings me to an interesting paradox, I am a motorcyclist and a law man... what should I write my blood group down as oh the pain.. Madbiker 99 VTR250
Yah I'm O-neg too, and they always seem to ring up to remind me 'not to forget that the fortnightly donation night is coming up'. The trouble is the local red cross people have absolutely no idea what this challenge is (I've asked). Are any of the Melbourne people looking to do a group run to one of the Melbourne blood banks?
