Suggestions for London (NW11) to Oxford route?

    I don't like that much north circular + A/M40... Any suggestions? I'm not in
    a hurry, so a relaxed one would be OK.

    SWMBO normally takes me to Ikea Wembley to buy something.
    It's always out of stock there, but they have it in Edmonton.
    [I've tried the other way around: if I go to Edmonton first, it's in stock
    @Wembley. Web catalogue is always out of date].
    SWMBO makes me drive there "before they close". By the time I'm back...
