sockets can take other things which dont take a 1 Amp fuse.
No. because I know for a fact that cigarette lighters have a 10Amp fuse so
unless he has bought a dodgy one then it will be able to take at least 10
    Amps.

I see. Did you read the original post? You know, the one in which the OP
clearly states that his came with a 5A fuse?

Surely it's not the school holidays already?

Look **** you they will take 10 Amp's end of story it takes 10 Amps to heat
up a ciggie lighter a ciggie lighter is after all if you look at it a just
short circuit which heat it up ...his the one he bought is obviouslt the
ciggie lighet extension or doubleing up kit if it is a doubling up hit then
yes you need Two 5 Amp fuses if its an extension kit then they are expecting
your original cigarette lighter to already have a 10 Amp Fuse and they Put
the 5 Amp in to stop that one from blowing because that one is usually hard
to change. Fuses are there for two reasons remember 1. in electrical
Equipment they are there to protect again surges which would dameage
components 2. they protect agaist shorts circuits and as a ciggie lighter
has no components to speak of there is nothing to damegae and therefore to
point to fit a fuse to protect agaist power surges.

DWP if your still reading this fit the 5 Amp fuse and Catman I never
actually said that the 5 Amp fuse was wrong I just said it might not be
enough if he ever wanted to use anything else on the bike. In fact I
actually said he SHOULD fit the 5 Amp fuse So whats your fucking problem?

Your current posting behaivour provides proof enough.
You've done nothing of the sort, which kind of proves my point.

Now go back to licking windows, or whatever you usually do.
