Stuck in the cage

    Blarst, I have to take Herself and Youngest out in the car today.

    Anyone recommend a half-decent pub in Hay-On-Wye, maybe somewhere by the
    river?

    Probably too late, but the town is on a hill, above the river so no
    riverside pubs.

    My choice for a riverside pub would be the Boat Inn at Whitney on Wye,
    about 4 miles out of Hay.

    It was too late but I shall make a not of that and maybe use it in future.
    In the meantime...

    Aaaaargh!!! Most of the way back stuck behind a flaming Dolphin coach which
    struggled to reach 40 and slowed to a crawl on almost every bend. Every
    time a bike overtook I could imagine the rider looking condescendingly down
    at me. Grr!! Youngest is off to Uni soon, so the bike might get more use.
    I'm just dreading tomorrow: major service, new tyres and MoT.
