We all know he bought the tickets, there's no need to be cruel enough to
    point it out old chap.

    ^^^^^^

My daughter goes to school with David Van Day's daughter.

You're in the presence of someone related to someone who's passed, in a
corridor, someone related to someone who used to be famous. Now bow down
    and supplicate.

Talking of passing in corridors. I got laid out flat when I was going
through a door into a corridor and that Mark Bolan from T Rex was coming
the other way with his entourage.

Now there was a bloke who did the pop music thing properly. Er, Marc
    Bolan not Steve Auvache.

Absolutely, credit where credit is due he got it right. I was not
terribly impressed with his public relations people though.

Heh, the Dollar gig was fairly memorable actually, when they came on stage
and started doing their "thang", a middle aged silly tart jumped up on the
stage and threw herself at Mr Van Day, who quickly disappered under a fog of
dry ice. She was carted off by security, and he was very reticent about
venturing to the outer limits of the stage thereafter. It was a right
scream, and yes, they were crap, he looked like a gayboy and she looked like
a dirty slut. All in all a good nights (free) entertainment.
