    I'm having nasty visions of what would happen were the rolling road to
    suddenly seize up or the rear wheel otherwise touch something immobile...
    has that sort of thing ever happened? Bet it'd be one helluva mess if it
    did.

  9. Highly tuned engines blow on dynos, yes

    Never seen a dyno seize, though, although I have seen a tyre let go -
    that was spectacular

    Not pretty I am sure.

    So how do the mechanics operate the throttle whilst all this is going on?
    (I've never seen a rolling road in use). Surely it wouldn't be much fun
    being stood next to that much power suddenly deciding to go pop?
