  2. News Flash: Nobody cares.

That you would even trot it out as a justification for anything in a
public forum only lessens you. Do you think you're the only person
here that ever dealt with adversity?

What you basically just said is that all these unaccomplished proles
are simply jealous of your toys and there is no other possible reason
why you might attract scorn or ridicule. That's a pretty good sign of
someone who has yet to forgive the world at large.
Let us know when you get there.

I can recall four spills over a 37 year period. Only one involved
hitting my head and as it turns out, that was the one time I wasn't
    wearing a helmet.

It did get me to buy one though.

  4. Apparently enough people care to almost make my name a tradename in these
    motorcycle groups.
No. Absolutely, and clearly, no. I know the stories of some of the people
here, and I admire their courage to overcome adversity. There are quite a
few people here who have faced far more adversity than I have, with far more
grace. It is one of the reasons I like to get to know people. Grace under
pressure comes from so many unexpected places, and creates a certain noble
    aspect to people.

Not at all what I said. I simply said that not all lawyers are part of the
silver spoon set, and many of us reached success by beating adversity. You
apparently got that part based upon your first question above. How you wish
to spin it is up to you. You certainly seem accomplished enough. And yet,
you hand out more ridicule than most. Pot......kettle.....black....

Still working on it. Obviously haven't gotten past the part where I feel
the need to justify buying and selling motorcycles so often. But at least
I'm slowing the pace down now, dramatically. So....about that new Speed
Triple, and your soon to be Buell.........

Interesting. Perhaps indicative of something different, regarding
    straight and gay sex?

  6. I suppose it should come as no surprise that you're totally
wrong, considering that you draw your conclusions about me
while hiding behind your killfile. Ignorant and wrong is no
way to go through life, wormy. ;-) Perhaps you should stop
talking about people and things about which you know nothing?

  9. No assumption at all. You clearly stated that you could be
counted as someone who "would enjoy their "freedom" to ride
without a helmet, if it meant being turned away at the hospital",
remember? As I just explained, it wouldn't be your choice once
your head was broken and you went limp.
    So do I. That's why I oppose the bu$h regime's shredding
of our constitution, and take the time to Enlighten the
misguided fools who still support him. In case you hadn't
noticed, the bu$h regime is trashing freedoms and rights
that are *far* more significant than riding without a
    helmet.

    2. Anyone who responds and disagrees with Henry is a moron and a right wing

  12. Whatever. My intent was to convey that I would enjoy the freedom to
    make this choice for myself.
Oh, I've noticed, just as I've noticed that you engage in simple-minded
name calling and childish attempts to insult by mangling others' names
while you rudely voice that opposition in a forum that is clearly
inappropriate for the topic and in which many participants have clearly
    voiced their lack of appreciation.

You seem to be a person who might stand up in a crowded theater and
shout "Car for sale!" There is nothing wrong with advertising that you
wish to sell a car, but the theater is not an appropriate venue and those
who wish to enjoy the show will likely prefer that you take your message
elsewhere. That they would find you comtemptuous would be justified,
regardless of whether you consider them to be misguided fools.

So, in conclusion, I find it more than appropriate to suggest that you
pull your head out of your ass long enough to look around and realize
that you have been a complete dick and decide that it might be best to
    just shut the **** up.

  13. This is what I believe is intended by "the home of the brave." The
courage to which this refers is not that required to go to war, but
that required to allow others to be free in order to ensure one's own
    freedom.

    Michael R. Kesti, Nov 30, 2003
  14. I really don't care. I don't see any of his posts, as he is safely in my
kill file. And actually, I'd prefer it if you didn't re-post his
commentaries, even those directed at me. He is a person who desperately
needs attention and will say anything to get it. Don't facilitate him. I
have suggested many times that we all put him in a kill file, and let him
disappear. For my part.... he is already gone.

  15. That misconception is so absurd that it cold only
be part of TimmyWorld, and of course, Timmy dreamed
it up. You should probably stop your off topic spamming
with you obsession over me too, Timmy. ;-)
Not even close, Timmy! I welcome alternative views, and
many of them are quite reasonable. Not your or wormy's, of
course, but many certainly are. The morons are the folks who
repeatedly scream about their killfiles, or just spew
juvenile hysterics and absurdities. Kinda like this post
    of yours.
Oops, zero for three, Timmy. It's a matter of degree. wormy
wallerstain has spammed us with at least 20 posts about his
killfile, and how he ignores me, can't see me, etc. etc.. That's
    an obsession.
All it takes is an education and a working mind, Timmy, so
    naturally, the cost will vary.
Hope you're not in any hurry! ;-)
BTW, you're doing exactly what you've been bitching and
whining about for a such a very long time, which is
spamming newsgroups with off topic drivel. Why are you
right wing extremists such hypocrites? Rhetorical, Timmy -
    no need to answer. ;-)

  16. Good, so you admit that I made no assumptions, and you did in fact
state that you would ride without a helmet even if it meant being
turned away at the hospital. That was pretty silly, wasn't it?
Great. So you agree that bu$h is crushing many freedoms that are
*far* more valuable to us than our right ride without a helmet?
I don't recall ever exchanging words with you until you
barged into this thread hysterically screaming profanities after
I posted my opinion regarding helmet usage. That was the behavior
of a hysterical child, not a reasonable adult, so "Mikey Testi"
seemed quite appropriate. Behave like a rational adult, and
pepole won't treat you like an insolent child.
So tell us Mike, what was the incentive behind your initial
unprovoked and profane outburst in response to my opinion on
helmet usage? Any idea at all?
The rude voice was yours Mikey. Do you need me to post your
rude and profane reply to my comment on helmet usage? It seems
rather childish and hypocritical bitching and whining about
rudeness when you set the trend.
You *are* the kind of person who would stand up and scream,
"who gives a **** what you think" in the middle of a group
that's engaged in a polite and civil conversation.
Also, you car/theater is analogy is completely absurd.
A great number of people are "standing up and shouting"
about a great variety of subjects on these newsgroups all
the time. The fact that a very few uptight, hysterical,
and unstable 'net cops completely freak out about political
posts while tolerating *all* other off topic subjects remains
a mystery. You engage in that moronic behavior, but I bet you
    can't explain why either.
You *did* address that outburst to the humiliated, hypocritical,
and loud mouthed moron in your mirror, right? ;-)

  18. :

Not at all. I asked, "What makes you think that anybody in this
newgroup gives a **** what you think, Henry?" Exactly one individual
found this objectionable enough to comment negatively, and it turned
out that he was unaware of your posting history. Why do you suppose
that no rec.motorcycles participants expressed displeasure with me?
(I expect that Larry Lovisone will now post some poorly punctuated
drivel that, despite only barely resembling the English language,
appears to indicate he felt I was out of line.)
A Google Groups search of articles posted in rec.motorcycles that you
have authored and that contain the sequence of characters "bu$h" returns
1140 hits and I have addressed you with profanity two or three times.
The trend is perfectly clear to me!
Just as I would make my feelings clear to that person in the hypothetical
    theater.
Your history of posting clearly unwelcomed political views as well as
the childish manner in which you express those views has been anything
but polite and civil. Have you ever heard, Henry, that what goes around
    comes around?

  19. If your skin was any thinner, you'd bleed into your leathers!

My offers to your bikes were valid. My jabs at your foibles were in
    jest. GET OVER YOURSELF!
Well there you go. It's why I like motorcycles too. I think I'd have
gotten bored of the whole thing by now... were it not for a certain
oddball mentality amongst the two wheeled set that gives me hope for
    humanity.

Kinda like marriage. She might not be the prettiest girl in the world
and you've sure as hell hit that bootie enough to have gotten bored of
it by now, but you don't.
Well duh, it's just that the most visible ones (ie all politicians)
are lawyers from the silver spoon set.
I think the action of buying a Buell Lightning and selling it to me
for 60% of retail will be most cathartic to your psyche.

Demetrius XXIV and the Gladiatores, Nov 30, 2003
  20. I don't have any leathers. I gave them to the guy who bought my GSXR. I'm
down to the ballistic nylons, rain gear, and Triumph boots now. Hardly
    enough to justify another motorcycle.
Well, despite my great concern for your opinion, I think I'll just state
what I feel, when I feel like it. Seems to work for every one else. Hell,
I could make a full time job out of insulting people..... no wait.... that's
    your job.
    On this we agree.
On this we don't. Luckily for me I did marry the prettiest girl in the
world. And I'm far from bored. Although she's yet another lawyer who
didn't come from the silver spoon set. I could share her story, but
instead we can just cut to the part where you say "Nobody cares.". Saves
    some time.
And that percentage is a very small sampling of all lawyers, sort of like
Bill Gates, and Larry Ellison are a pretty small sampling of people who have
    started software businesses.
If I were to buy another twin it would either be the new KTM twin coming
out, or I'd go back to
Ducati. Ducati is like Ferrari to me, overpriced, not particularly
dependable, but there is a mystique, sound, and look to them that I find
seductive. I'd probably go back to an air cooled 900 Monster, although my
last one was evil handling, the after market flat slides cut out at 100 mph
and killed the bike, a busted Master and Slave on the clutch left me
stranded (well, kind of... I was o.k. as long as I was willing to re-start
the bike at every clutch and wheelie away). And the bike had a weave
between 85 and 100 despite the Fox Shock. Still........

But I'm not going back to bikes for a while. That's my story and I'm
    sticking to it.
