This past weekend (March 17 - 20) Team Suzuki Blackfoot Racing's Clint
McBain went down to Las Vegas, Nevada to take part in two track days
at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. On Sunday evening in the Orlean's Hotel
& Casino parking lot Clint's truck was broken into and thieves stole
his trailer and all bikes and gear in it. The motorcycles are
unregistered race bikes from Canada (see description and pictures at
the attached web page), so I presume they may possible show up at a
race track some time, or they may be stripped and parted out (e-bay,
    classifieds, etc.).

If you have any information regarding the stolen stuff, you will find
contact numbers at the following site:

Ouch! Why is the full coverage insurance so expensive? Is it related
to his claims record, the type of bike or typical of the rates in
    Texas?

(However, we'd have to be careful. Some Gov perp would
expect a PUC license and DOT hazard sign, plus must travel on
    hazard cert roadways.)

Agricultural waste is not hazardous disposal, so this is
better: Steer Trails Environmental Waste & Excrement

  8. True, apartment is about the most insecure place, including
those with garages. My 10-speed bike was stolen from my
garage in Long Beach, CA back in the mid-80s. Perps clipped
my lock and made off with several bikes.

I had a 1971 CB100 motor stolen out of my carport in North
Long Beach. At first I thought they did me a favor, they
left my good CB125 engine and took the CB100 motor, which was
toast. However, in a way I now wished I had that motor since
it matched the frame, my little CB100 would be worth more
with the OEM engine instead of the CB125 engine. :-(

~~of course, anywhere in the USA, it is that way. All full coverage
insurance is fairly expensive, when the vehicle is a popular item to be
stolen are vandalized, and or the parts are high, like any sport
vehicles, and many utility vehicles. If I had a lot of money in a Bike,
I'll carry full stuff, but I don't, so I just carry the
necessities. Also, if I lived in certain areas, and thought my bikes &
vehicles were vulnerable, I'd up^ my insurance coverage.-bjay-

I read about a guy in Arizona who put a rattlesnake rattle on a little solenoid
under the seat of his car and wired it into the dome light switch. He *used* to
have problems with people sneaking into his garage to steal his car... Now
occasionally he'll just hear his car door slam and the pitter-pat of scared feet
    running away.

  14. True, unless he was a close friend. If they open up with
humour, perhaps, but usually to avoid hassles it is best to
keep things short and strictly business, then breathe a
    reliever when he departs.
