    Indeed. I rather like that.

Agreed - although the song would have been improved if she'd whipped off her
    t-shirt at the end.

Very talented in terms of the multi-instrument approach. Nevertheless, the
two tracks that I watched and listened to were "clever" rather than really
inspirational. If I had just heard the tracks on the radio I doubt they
would have made much impression on me at all. Personally I find that most
singers who indulge in that kind of rambling, high-pitched warbling rapidly
    become rather irritating. However YMMV.

Using loop back devices like that is pretty standard nowadays. I saw
a guy called Jamie Woon do it live five years ago, building up an
acapella vocal arrangement right in front of us. The difference is,
his song was quite good, whereas this women's material seems pretty
    generic to me.

Yebbut her co-ordination *is* impressive. I find it almost impossible to use
any sort of pedal effectively while (badly) playing the guitar. Let alone
twiddle things with my toes at the same time ffs!

<looks forlornly at Akai Headrush pedal in corner of room>

'like that' ain't that standard imho.
Oh sure, I've seen 'em used before, just nothing like that complexity.
<shrug> Whatever. I really liked it. Especially the violin solos.

KT Tunstall did it quite well for her debut appearance on Later...

For vocal tomfoolery, I quite like Imogen Heap's stab at a vocoder:

For genius with a looper look no further than Gordon Giltrap.

Ho yuss. All round guitar genius, he is.

He was doing it at least 20 years ago, too. And using a very simple
fixed-length tape to do it, an' all; none of this fancy electronic
bollocks for him back then. Saw him very close up when he came along
to a Rolls-Royce 'guitar club' event. Must have been around 1988.
God, that sound _so_ good. Really takes me back. Check out some of the
others on youtube to really get the idea.

AAMOI the 'Holiday 19xx/20xx' theme tune was also by him, and is
really quite a doddle to play...
