I'm reviewing my thoughts about buying a Ducati now. I like my NCB.

I don't think they're targetted any more than other bikes,
it might just be the "because you're looking for it" syndrome.

I think it might be the "because Antonye keeps posting about stolen
    Ducatis" syndrome.

I thought this was the third? It does make me titter when people assume
    it's your bike though ;-)

antony - is your current posting strategy based around making UKRM
into a facsimile of the DSC Website Discussion Forum?

The reason I posted this stolen notice was to help get
it to as wide an audience as possible to try and help
for someone who had the unforunate experience of having
    their beloved bike stolen.

Not all of UKRM reads the DSC website, so I felt it
appropriate to post the details here too. This was done
in the hope that someone might see one up for sale,
remember the post here, and check the frame/engine numbers
or at least let someone know so they could check. Even if
it turns out to be a false lead, at least it would have
    been checked.

While I appreciate your attempt to belittle the post, as
the UKRM appointed post administrator, I don't think that
more than a couple of people on UKRM read the DSC site they
wouldn't necessarily care nor notice if a lot of the stuff
got duplicated - they might actually gain something from
    it anyway.

You probably also failed to notice that others from the
DSC posted the same details to similar relevant forums,
like *shudder* VisorDown, in an attempt to disseminate the
information to as wide an audience as possible, again in
the attempt to nail some theiving fuckwit who doesn't want
    to pay for a motorcycle.

Besides, there are a lot fewer cunts on the DSC site,
so it's in my favour *not* to make it a facsimile.

See my reply to Blaney for an explanation.

I'm afraid that, IMHO, two posts doesn't make it an awful chore
to skip the threads if you're not interested in them. Maybe even
killfile me, or just the posts with "stolen" and "ducati" in
the title as this would suffice.

TBH, I really don't care either way.

I think you're getting the wrong end of the stick. I wasn't complaining
about the posts, & I don't think anyone else was either. There's a
worldwide shortage of smileys since Bear came back, so you'll just have
    to imagine them instead.

Does it work? Have anybody *any* evidence that posting a Bike Nicked ad
*anywhere* on the net gets the bike back or the scrotes in a coma?

Or is it really just to make them feel better despite foreknowledge of
the all too predictable and extremely sad outcome?

Yeah, I've got toothache and I'm back on the antibiotics for
another ten days, which means I'll only just scrape it for
my big birthday bash next weekend. Plus I haven't had a good
nights sleep for a while. So sue me.
