is it just me, or does Joe's accent circumnavigate a geographical area
with a radius of about 100 miles in a single sentence?

What did you think of Linda's Carmen Miranda impression?

I love it. The guy who plays Joe is a RADA speech examiner, or
    something.
I haven't heard it. I should Listen Again, I suppose.

  5. Linda Snell - bloody southern towny newcomer.
She should go back to Virginia Water.

    Bring back Walter Gabriel!

It's not particularly worth seeking out. It was part of the general
    easter-bonnet parade trauma.

If it all goes tits-up and you're left with chewed bolt-head or a
snapped-off bolt, one solution is to arc-weld a piece of steel bar
across the end of the bolt.

The thermal shock will free the bolt and the bar will act as a lever.

When you try to unscrew the bolt you will then discover that the bar
    fouls the frame/oil filter/front wheel.

An angle grinder will solve this problem.

Ah, I actually meant on the steel bar. No, I'm sure no-one will
    notice.

This is the best solution because you get to play with two really neat
pieces of kit *and* get to feel that bowel-loosening fear that you're
doing something irreversibly nasty to your cylinder head!

I have done this, umm, twice, I think, and it has worked. So far.

    No warranty given or implied.

oh **** I had the bike back to front, I realise now that I've just taken
    the numberplate off!

Seriously, on this 1996 Suzuki Bandit GSF600N (GN77A) the exhaust
manifolds are held on with 6mm allen key type bolts.

Five of which are now proudly sitting on my workbench but as my wife
beater levels were overtaking the amount of WD40 sloshing about I
decided the other three could wait until the morning. Hopefully this
period of quiet reflection will do them good they will come quietly now.

Well that's what should happen so as to freshen up the hick's gene

  20. I was being ironic in calling her a newcomer.
She has lived in Ambridge Hall since 1986 so should
be accepted in a couple of years.
