Sticking choke cable

    I've had the cable out and greased both ends but it's still sticking.

    Is there anything else I can try before replacing it with a new part?

  2. That's a euphonium, isn't it?
    If it's a fairly ordinary cable (ie, not nylon lined) you can either buy
    a cable oiler or tape a small funnel to the top end and leave it
    overnight filled with oil, so the oil eventually flows down inside the
    outer.

  3. In uk.rec.motorcycles, rb amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
    Yeah, grease the length of it. Doing the ends isn't going to help much.

    Undo it from the bar end and stick the spout of 3 in 1 or similar and
    give a healthy squirt until it dribbles out from the other end.

    Job done.
