....And folks, here we have another FINE example by Mr. Walker of how
NOT to dress appropriately for a ride.

    LOL

I am gonna catch it for this one!

psst.. don't pay any attention to Fullstate.. He always says bad things
about me and starts rumors that are without merit.. I don't know of a better
group of mechanics for Kawasaki and Honda in this metroplex.. I have had
excellent service from them and their prices are fair.. Whatever the
problems are with your motorcycle, you will be made aware of them before you
leave their shop with it.. If you decide to let them fix it for you, the
price will be fair for them as well as yourself..

So there you have it.. I was just telling my new friend in Garland about the
malicious way that you slander and initiate unfounded rumors about me ..Here
is the evidence for all the world to see .. I am deeply offended and can't
imagine how one of my good friends could be so bitter and vindictive.. First
some strange lady gives me the finger in the line at the damn bank and then,
I have to be subjected to furthur abuse from my loyal friend... Nobody knows
the suffering that I am feeling .. Wait'll Waco gets home from work, and I'm
    TELLIN'...

What kind of friend would I be if I didn't give you some shit?
Somebody has to do it, might as well be me. And....I am good at it.

BTW - dunno if I told ya, but I ordered a Spiegler stainless steel
brake / clutch line kit for my bike. Not sure when it will be in.

Are you talking about the guys over at the shop on Cooper? Bling! and
I were just in there the other day. Looking at some of the bikes. We
didn't want to waste their time, but this is kind what I am talking
    about with those guys.

It wasn't exactly dead in there, but it wasn't real busy, either. So,
enough sales guys to go around.

Bling! and I are checking out the Z1000. A sales guy finally
approaches us (him). How is it going, blah blah. Usual crap. So,
Bling! says something to the effect of "I'm interested in the Z1000,
just not sure if it's within my price range right now" (not an exact
quote). Clearly stating that he is interested in the bike.

What did the sales guy do? "Ok, well if you need anything let me
    know."

WTF? What was Bling! supposed to do? "HEY! DUMBASS I AM INTERESTED
IN THIS BIKE CAN WE NEGOTIATE?"

LOL we laughed it off and left.

Although I have to admit it was one of the first times I was in there
and I wasn't worried about waking up in the parking lot with my wallet
    missing and my a$$hole bleeding.

Now that is just what I need on the Vulcan, isn't it.. Quite a co-incidence
but I was looking at some of those custom cables and lines at Bates, just a
week or two ago... LOL.. What is that, they say about "Great Minds"..

Is there a difference between "custom" cables and steel braided lines?

I know that the steel braided lines will improve braking performance
and you will never have to replace them. Does you bike have a cable
or a hydraulic clutch? Mine is hydraulic - hence the steel lines for
    it as well.

Mine is a cable linkage for the clutch.. Of course the brake lines are
    hydraulic..

Sure lets just drive another nail into my coffin. This woman is soo cruel that
about 6 months about or more ( they kind of all run together now) I quit using
Copanhagen. (before any of you go off about "Good for you" / "That is great"/
"you'll be glad you did"/ and my favorite "Your a better and stronger person
for it") I dont plan to stop forever just for the time being.
I am not looking to start anytime soon but I do miss the taste of it and still
to date I have nicotine fits though they are not as bad as they were. but I
now eat everything in the house and still look for more food.
so the wife being the good natured, loving, and supporting wife she is decides
she is going to help me beat the food cravings.
she now makes cakes, pies, cookies, and some other items that you may find in
some of the bakery around here.
dont even ask me about the cookies that cost about $45.00 to make two dozen or
the cake that had 14,389 callories per serving.
(I will post the recipe if anyone does not believe me on this one.)
and like an idiot I eat this stuff without asking before hand
so I went from 215 LBS to 245 LBS in about 6 months
lastnight I came down and she was making another cake that required a trip to
the liquer store. I made a comment about the cake looking good and NOW she
    decides to help me diet.
she stated "This cake is going to my moms work for a meeting after work."
I think I am going to put on a pair of panty hoes and a mini skirt and see if
I can slip into this meeting!!!
    that cake looks good.
Well it is 4:03 A.M. and I must head to work. I will holler at ya'll about
3:00 or so when I get home. and I will post those pictures for you Bill at
that time or shortley there after

That is just not fair. She is going to feed you cakes and cookies to
fatten you up and then say you need to go on a diet? LMAO

That is a darned peculiar predicament you have yourself in there, my
    friend.

With all due respect for my friend IceMan, I have to say that the little
woman is being very much misunderstood .. She treats him like the fine
prince of a fellow he really is.. LOL.. She even rides in that old Ford
pickup.. Now, that is abuse.. She tolerates his political affiliation and
she even rides two up on that ol' motorcycle of his.. The lady even
tolerates his abuse of her friends ( I personally come to mine on this one)
From what I can understand, she allows him to clutter up the garage, which,
being the meticulous person that she is, she would normally keep neat, tidy
and clean.. My friend, the IceMan, should be very thankful for the many
blessings that the lovely woman bestows upon him..

    Fifth Gear,
Do a search in the Google groups for "American Kawasaki Garland" and you
will find that similar situation happened to Mr. Backdraft in June 2000.
Sorry about your experience dude! I thought everyone knew by now to avoid
    them.

Kinda reminds me of one time I was in there looking at a Vulcan 800.
Now, this was a used bike I was looking at and was not exactly without
blemishes and mileage. I FINALLY got a salesman over to me that I
could corner and get a quote for how much it was. He had to go check a
couple times (because I wondered if he was quoting the right bike). He
(and the couple other salesmen) finally decided the price was
correct...$7,000. Keep in mind, new 800s cost less than that new. I
said, "well, we can haggle over the price in a bit...how much of a
trade-in can you give me on mine". At this point, I was figuring
they'd be reasonable with the trade-in value with their pricing on the
used bikes there. The salesman came back with a WHOPPING $900
offer...but when I pointed out that my bike was cleaner than any other
bike on their used showroom, he upped the offer to an incredible $1200
and said that's his final price. I said, "ok" (just out of spite at
this point) "let's get started on it". Now, I know I've been to
college and took math courses in there and high school...but something
was wrong with their addition and subtraction. When the guy put it on
paper and showed it to me, the final price on the Vulcan was $8,900
and trade-in was $600. Hmm, something's wrong with that picture. I
asked him to check again. Wow, Dumb-**** (as he came to be known)
charged extra for the windshield that was on it and the pegs that were
on it and the engine guards that were on it....while deducting for
"prep fees" on my bike. Now, keep in mind, this was a USED Vulcan
sitting there. They didn't stick one bit of anything on it and it came
    in as it sat.

I finally needed to go and told the guy to shove his bike up his
ass...which the way he walked looked like a couple people already did
    just that.

Oh, and this salesman...still works there last time I was there.
