Goes like this. Book approved starting method. Full choke. Press
    button. Vrrrooooom.

Actual starting method. Full choke. Press Button. Nothing. Needles
    to say, intermittent.

Now, after a lot of buggering about I noticed that it would allways
start if I pulled the clutch in. Wednesday I got it. Clutch out - nowt
    - clutch in - vroommm. Switch off engine - clutch out nowt - clutch in
    - vrrrooomm.

Soooo....I think it's that clever bit of buggery that kills the engine
if you knock it into gear with the clutch out. Now I *do* have the
neutral light, so whats going on?

I can't to find the offending switch so that I can replace it. Clutch
lever? In the gubbins of the gearbox?

Anyone any ideas? Apart from sell the bike and get a proper one :-(

Yep, and a sidestand cut out switch. Hmmmm. I thought about that, cos
it has been known to bounce down during 'enthusiastic' riding, but I
didn't think the clutch bit would override it.

OK, I need to check that out. It is a bit fucked up so I'll get a new
    one anyhow. Cheers.

I'm not *100%* sure, but ISTR my Triple will only run with the sidestand
down if the clutch is in.
