And (in this election time) let us never forget poor, poor Stephen
Milligan. Who never was very good with knots.

I've made the acquaintance of (or at least had a chat on the phone with)
an early Ural/Dnepr specialist, smashingly helpful chap. The
conversation went along the lines of:

    "I need a cylinder head"
"Don't have any left: just sold the last one"
    "arse"
"I'm going to Poland next week - How many do you want?"
    "How much?"
    "£10"
    "Lots"
    "Any other bits?"
"Shall I give you all my money now?"

He was at Stafford this weekend and if I'd thought of it I could have
asked someone southerly to pick some bits up for me.

    That's secondhand, it'd be £30 for a new one.

Wasn't Mick Cross of MPC, was it? I was at Stafford on Saturday, looking
high and low for purveyors of Dnepr bits, without success. Any idea where
    he was hiding?

No - he wanted £30 for S/H. He said he was there, this is a chap from
Wigan, private individual as opposed to a commercial enterprise. - I'll
let you know how I get on with getting spares from him.

He seems helpful enough on the phone.

That wasn't top posting: that was an explanatory introduction.
