FOAK, got a problem with the Sprint. Started fine yesterday, today it
just spins. Doesn't sound 'right', like the engine is not even turning.
Shipping it to the shop tomorrow I hope, but any suggestions?

    TIA

If you can't tell if the engine's turning or not, it's a bit difficult
to suggest anything. If the starter motor's turning but the engine
isn't, it could be the old starter sprag clutch thingy or sonething
similar. Definitely a dealer job. Still under warranty, is it?

Put the battery on the charger first, check if it's feeling a bit low...

Hand over the end of the exhaust, hit the starter, if you can't feel
anything then the engine is probably not spining!

That certainly is what seems to be happening.
Definitely a dealer job. Still under warranty, is it?
    Sadly, no

If it is this, it could be because it's cold etc.

A solution could be to bump start, change oil to a diesel oil (high
detergent) and then bump start again and get it good and hot. Hopefully
this will flush all crap out of the system and get it functional again.
I've had limited success with this with K series BMWs. (worked once,
    failed once)

It's a piece of hardened, shaped steel attached to a wooden handle,
    usually.

I was considering bump starting it, but felt that would not be massively
reliable at work where the car park is uphill.

Is this the same REME that has the regimental/corps motto of "If we can't
    fix it, we **** it"?
