Anyone suggest somewhere to get a tyre plugged in st albans? nail staright
through the middle of the rear. The monkey at the garage at the end of the
road claims they are the only place in st albans that deals with bike tyres
and that they don't plug tyres but theyll fit a new one.

AFAIK, there aren't any proper bike tyre places in St Albans - I tried
enough while working there. I preferred to pop up to Dirt Bikes in
    Dunstable. Top people they are.

There is also a Universal Tyres in Dunstable too, who do free fitting.

Thats where I went but the sods dont do repairs. "They always leak". Because
you're incompetent monkies who can't fix a tyre?...

Clamping it in the machine to break the bead.

This was on my first ZZR11 back in 1997. I claimed for a new pair of
genuine Kawasaki discs because they were less than a thousand miles old
when I bought the bike, and I had the new front tyre fitted the next day
because there was a split in the sidewall down to the canvas. Universal
paid up with no arguing, something like 350 quid IIRC.

Instead of buying new discs I had them straightened by Hagon at a cost
of 25 quid IIRC. I did a further 15K miles on them with no problems at
    all.

Righto, I never used them myself, but you'll find Dirt Bikes but a 1
minute ride away in Regent St (I think) - on the left just after the
    dual carriageway bit ends.

Result. I should have had a right go at the people that put the front end
of my Bandit back together. Hind sight is so clear sometimes.
    Heh, Nice one.

time you said you would only to find they've sold it.

Well, I haven't used them myself, but some old colleagues at work had,
    and found them helpful.
