Aye, that's the stuff. Hardly noticeable at 150+.

Until you stop and try to move, that is.

That *is* fast. I've never had a bike that'll do that speed.

I was a bit wary of my post-op right knee at EOSM. If you are there on it
    at EOSM, CIHAGM?

    Nearly.

    Apparently.

    I think so.

    Certainly on the dual carriageway.

    I'd fucking hope it would. I had Elly's CBR6 up to ~140 on a
    full-throttle flyby run(1) - and Bonwick's 9R around that too, on the
second lap when it was warmed up.

"**** me, that Akrapovic sounds nice ... how fast were you going?"
    *coughcough* "Beer, dear?"

Fair enough. I'm not very good at assessing speed in terms of numbers
    of mph.
    heh.

I was in Orbey and Kaysersberg last Sat. / Sun. (under 2hrs from Nancy)
Pouring rain and the first - biting - signs of winter ( Col du Bonhomme deep
    in fog)
Might see you on the road sometime, then...

Doesn't surprise me. I don't think I left the house all last weekend
due to a combination of acute depressions and pissing weather. And I'm
so busy for the next few weeks it'll likely be the new year before I'm
out on the bike again. Oh well...
Email me if you fancy meeting up sometime - when the weather's a bit
    better.

  11. I lived across the Rhein in Ihringen for a few months and then
Kirchhofen for a few years. Lovely part of the world. Have you ever been
on the Schauinsland Strasse to the top?

Err, no, I don't think so. My excursions over the German side have
tended to be limited to the triangle between Basel, Freiburg and
Schaffhausen, which doesn't seem to include the places you mention.

Where is this Schauinsland Strasse of which you speak - Mappy can't
    find it, you see.

They hold a race each year (or did) cars ( F1 type) and bikes. Too many
bikers didn't make the 100 plus bends as you climbed a thousand plus
metres so at one time they banded bikes at week ends.

The oldest enclosed cable car in the world runs over the top of it.

    Awesome views!
