Heh, I am however slightly concerned that you think that me and Will alone
in a warm room is enough to get him 'on heat'

well, if it's down to a choice between you and a talking

Unlike a spacehopper I object to being jumped on from behind, having my
ears grabbed and being bounced around the room. So 1 – 0 to the spacehopper
    then.

You don't have a spare license? How strange.

Is that "in heat" or "on heat"?

  12. I do but that's not going to help my insurance if I have an accident.

I must be one of those strange people that think that if I'm banned I
    shouldn't drive/ride.

    Not really. If I were banned I'd think that I *shouldn't* drive/ride.

But you might anyway? Not a good move, IMO. Get nicked doing so and
sentences can start looking custodial, IIRC.

I'm not saying I would. When I was staring down the barrel of a ban a
couple of years ago, I thought about it quite a bit. I knew I'd be
    tempted.

Well, I've not had a claim against me in years so that's not an issue
    I'd worry about.
I'd have used a similar line to Champ here.

There's lots of things one shouldn't do that one does, I suppose riding
whilst banned isn't much worse than riding without a license.

I think you'll find that the courts think there is a major difference -
without a license you are an unlicensed uninsured fuckwit; driving while
banned you are all of that, plus you are ignoring the will of the court
    - dissing them as it were.

Good point. Still, **** 'em. If I were banned I'm pretty certain I'd
ignore it on occasion. If banned for a short period I'd prolly ignore
    it altogether.

Still with a bit of luck I'll never find out.

Dodgy though - local old bill get reminded about banned drivers on their
