What about Des paying 'UKRM in the Ardennes' a visit on his R1?

    Well looking at his headers:

These look identical to me so I think the posts are coming out of the
same machine. I suppose he could be remote accessing his machine from
an internet cafe in Mexico and posting through it?

Still if I could be bothered I'd see what the gap in time was between
his posts; flying to Cancun is going to take about 14 hours. You can add
two hours in for checking in etc. at the French end and the same to
clear the airport, get to your hotel and find an internet cafe.

So, if there was less than (about) 18 hours between his posts to ukrm
from France and Mexico it's quite remarkable.

Because next time he'll modify his domain name won't he. He's an
obvious troll who comes here merely to say 'controversial' things and
laugh at the 'stupid brits' who continue to dance to his tune.

In all fairness. He's (I assume he's still got it) got a server
running at home, from which he can ssh into that from anywhere in the
world. So he'll post from the box.

You'll not really be able to prove that he is in Mexico or not.

The only indication as to whether it's true or not are the times that
he does post. If there's a delay of 6 hours (IIRC) between France and
Mexico and we see posts coming in at 3am, then :

    - He is in Mexico and it's about 9pm there, or :
    - He's just sad enough to post at 3am to pretend he's in Mexico.

    Your choice.

Of course he is. No matter what he says he's not French either 'cos no
real French person would be seen dead in a UK newsgroup, they would
regard that as the height of "style faux pas"

I agree, which is why I posted the original thing about looking at the
time between him posting in France and from Mexico.

It's my perception that there was less than 12 hours between these two
posts which beggers the question on how he's managed it. Of course I
say perception 'cos I can't be bothered to check.

  13. ****, he's morphed *again*.

OK, I'll bite. I *didn't* run out of petrol and Des was the one who
suggested "Get on an autoroute, you ****, and you won't have petrol
worries" only to have it pointed out (a) that I was on an autoroute and
one stage and (b) there were indeed no filling stataions on said
autoroute (kindly posted by a real Froggie who knew more than Des).

So, once again, we have established that Des is a liar. Not hard, mind.

    will really annoy him.
