We were converting the other way, you devious little wretch. Don't try to
    Howard out of it.
    Pay attention, sonny:

    The price went from 47c/gal (or 10.35c/litre) to 13.5 c/litre (or 61.3
c/gal) overnight. That IS was happened.

Just because it happened before you stopped shitting and falling back in it,
    doesn't mean it didn't happen :)

You then said, "It obviously wasn't BP. US owned distributor by any
chance?", which led me to believe that you thought it wasn't a
'british'-based distributor, but instead a 'US owned distributor', and that
you were playing an ill-informed and ill-advised game based on your
ignorance of the differing sizes of US and Imperial gallons.

I tried to enlighten you, since it was obvious that you had something which
fell more than slightly short of a clue.

atec? I'll get him to explain it to you.

I'm intrigued as to why you would think I didn't know there was a difference
if I was the one who made the initial distinction.

Nothing would surprise me - especially after their attempt at
decimalising the imperial measurements ... working in tenths of an inch!!

It seems there are some who don't agree. My housemate just got back from
a trip up the coast via Coffs, Byron & Qld. He said he saw hundreds of
4WDs parked on the side of the roads, with "For Sale" signs in the
windows. In one particular spot he saw 36 4WDs for sale on the side of
    the road.

Yeah, I should probably get the new motor into Godzilla soon...

Want to come by on the weekend and give me a hand? Manoevering big
old lumps of motor into big old lumps of motorbike isn't really a
one-man job, if I recall correctly...

This one (28-29th)? I'll be there Friday-Saturday-Sunday (ahhh, the
joys of part-time work - every weekend a long weekend!)

You don't have to sleep outside unless you really want to. We could
have a bonfire if you like though (not nearly as likely to start a
bushfire as we were back at Easter!)

Actually, that's not a bad idea. Anyone want to come by for a
bonfire/bbq/pissup in the next few weeks?
A tractor? Well I *did* write down the phone number for that old red
one that's been sitting beside the Barton highway near Hall with a
"For Sale" sign on it for the past year - might be time to make an
    offer!

I have a child-free weekend, so if you want to propose something more
definite, we'll take it from there. I can't really spend the weekend with
Godzilla as I have a commitment to the Prime Monster's funeral.
Just a tin roof and a campfire will be fine, thanks.
It's not for me to invite anyone, but I wouldn't mind if there was a bit
of a crowd on the night.
