I have looked at those but it bewilders me a bit as to the cost of 600's
often more than some 750cc-1litre bikes are. I can see how the weight
overall and weight reduction of the engine certainly would make it more
flick able etc however, I prefer a few more CC's I still have the 89
slingshot750 that I plan to keep as it has about 120hp and was just before
they started to gain more weight in the 90's,although they have reduced a
lot in more recent years. I have tested a few 1000-1100's in the past and
kind of know what I am in for I mostly want to get a thou+ as I never have
    owned one before.

    regards
    olley.

Similar to when I purchased the then new GPX750R it was at the time being
used for and winning the Aussie Superbikes, by the time I got out of it it
seem to be very tame compared to the newer sports bikes out there.
Yeah they have always been firm in the comfort area and a bit more in the
cost area upfront and most likely ongoing wise than a jap 4 cyl.
Nice bike but a bit out of my league.
I am more into the later2 or 3 you mention the economics of a 4cyl are good
in my opinion, I do like the Daytona and the sound of a nice twin but once
again they cost a lot for what they are imho.

    Errmm yeah if you're comparing a GSXR600 with a GSX750F then yeah a 750
built on decades old techniolgy producing half the HP at twice the
    weight is indeed cheaper (1)

I can see how the weight
You have no idea do you ? To translate into the terms of the decade you
still seem to be living in. A modern 600 handles better and weighs only
a little more than a RGV250, except it has more HP than many of the 900s
from that era - but the frame is stiff enough to cope.
Naah go on buy a ZXR1200 and convince yourself bikes haven't changed
since 1989, you know you want to.

    (1) Not that there's anything wrong with the GSX750F - great bike in its
    class

Thanks, I like it also because it is not the predictable blue/white scheme

You can assume all you like just like your other post where you said I was
16 and at school still, it is ok I have grown used to you being wrong about
a lot of things also, if you do really believe that I think motorcycle tech
has not changed in 2 decades then that is what your entitled to think so
....whatever I will let you dwell on all the above and I will go ride my
motorbike instead of discussing them here :)
