So next election will Howard be defecting to Labour, saying that he wants a
real challenge and the Libs just can't provide that anymore? Peter Costello
will then come out saying that the Liberals will just "build better
policies, and destroy him".

 

Most likely. I can see a few of them going back into state politics too
myself. They just can't seem to cut it in the big league.
