Many, many moons ago, February I think, I asked for help to organise
for my aged Ma to sit in a Spitfire. I received lots of goodly ideas
and managed to find an owner and pilot who said they would help. Then
it all went quiet and despite much gentle pushing etc it looked like
nothing was going to happen; but last Wednesday I received a call to
say, what about today and it all went wonderfully. 86 year old Ma was
able to clamber into the cockpit with a bit of help and re-lived some
of her wartime past, had me holding back the tears. So a really big
thank you to all who pointed me in the right direction and the others
who gave good ideas. I seem to remember being asked to post some
piccies but as I'm a computer numpty I'm not sure how to do it, will
ask around and try later. Thanks again for making my Ma so happy.

    That is just ... cool.

The way to post pictures is obviously to get a flickr/photobucket
account or similar and then put up the pictures. I'm sure that if you
don't want the hassle, one of the regulars with such an account might be
    able to help.

If you get the opportunity help her fulfill a lifelong dream, not only
is it great to see the joy on the face, but the feeling within is
    wonderful.

Temporary set back. It will be fine for the elephant.
Only so I don't spill any.

I read that in a Sir Nigel Fotherington-Smythe-Ince voice, but seeing
you actually say it, and it was a tad worrying, I can tell you.

  17. There was a Spitfire giving a display over King's Lynn midday. Don't
know what it was all about.
