I'd be VERY interested is seeing some pics. I like looking at the old mods
and rockers days. It reminds me of far better days.

Thanks to all for the responses. Glad I'm not in my dotage yet, although
the signs are there. And in Leeds (where I used to live in the 60s) it were
definitely 't mods who war wearing em. Rockers had quiffs 'n' brylcreem or
pisspot racing lids and proper Stadium goggles.

  4. In matters marine, I'll certainly defer to your greater experience
than my 7 or 8 weeks total, upchucking on the Nella.

  5. I used to wear one when commuting in London in the rain on a Norton
Commando. It did make you look like a dork, but this was offset by
what fantastically clear vision it gave you in the rain. It was as
though there was no visor at all, even in the filthiest rain, an
excellent advantage on dark rainy nights. Quite astonishing clarity.

It worked so well that when I wore out the central baring I bought
another. But annoyingly whizzy, gyroscopic, and wind catching at
speeds in excess of 50ish mph and probably dangerous at 60+.

So amazingly good for seeing clearly on dark rainy nights in city
streets I'd go out and buy two immediately if they were still made.

Apparently a version is still popular with the karting fraternity.
