You mean you've only just realised?

Of course, doing all this is only really possible when you earn enough
not to worry about running out of cash.

 

Read it again, they reduced it to *only* 2 billion years.

 

The running out of cash part is easy, the getting into debt part is easy
.... it's the 5 billion years paying off the debt without the fun of
spending on "must have" objects which most people struggle with.

 

If Andromeda is anything like you it's not going to hit us. It's
unlikely to even find us on the second pass.

As humanity (or > 90% of it, at any rate) only has another ten to twenty
years _at_most_ to live anyway, there's really nothing to be afraid of.

I fully expect to die either by i) shock wave and/or 'flash' caused by
detonation of a nuclear device, ii) radiation sickness (see i)), or some
as yet-undiscovered viral epidemic. Old age just doesn't enter into the
equation.
