I have a 2001 GSXR 600 and have a 15 tooth on the front, the speed sensor is
on the plate covering the sprocket and look like a hall effect pick. Does
anyone know if you can adjust the speedometer or change the pickup for a
    gear change?

There are some third party modules that juggle the pulse rate but they are
fairly expensive. You might consider a bicycle speedo; the pickup goes on
the front wheel and the unit can be very accurately calibrated for wheel
    circumference.

  3. Hunter,
When I was considering changing sprocket ratios I found the Yellow
Box one of the few options for re-calibrating the speedometer. If you
are interested I also created an Excel spreadsheet to calculate your
speed for different sprocket ratios. If you know your motorcycle's
gearing you can enter it on the second sheet of the workbook and select
click on the select and copy it to the appropriate places in the
spreadsheet. If you have questions about the spreadsheet feal free to ask.
