Speedo ratios

  1. What's that all about then?

I'm looking at ditching the clocks on my CBR and putting a mini speedo
and tacho on but there are different ratios in the speedo dept, for
instance 1.4, 1.5 and 1.7 that I have seen so far.

What's the difference and does it really matter which one I use?

The difference is in the ratios. HTH.

Go for the one that gives you a max indicated speed of 256mph. At a
    guess, 0.4 for your bike.

  3. In uk.rec.motorcycles, serf amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
No, that doesn't help. At all.
I've not seen one at 0.4
