Speeding

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by The Bloke Next Door, Mar 1, 2004.

  1. Watch your speed on the A27 running from Brighton towards Hastings.two of my
mates were nicked last week one was doing forty seven in a stretch of road
works with a small forty MPH sign on it,I'm of the opinion that nicking
people for such a small offence is just a revenue raiser it's got very
little to do with upholding the law.

I'm assuming you mean the section between Eastbourne and Ripe. The 40 on
that road is there for a reason.

The road is in such a state, both uneven and worn out, that a 'temporary'
speed restriction has been put on it. Although as you say there's
roadworks it would appear that ESCC are trying to do something (I've not
used it for a few months).

I can get the Guzzi TWA over and over along there. To the point that it
starts to land with the suspension still compressed, which makes for
fucking scary handling as the lumpen beast is on a mission, and a
    straight line one at that.

So the Dibbles may have a point...

If you're going to post here regularly, then I'd suggest you read the
urkmcbt, the address for which is in my .sig. That's the same .sig that
you failed to snip from my posting.

Try a different newsreader, Outlook Express is shite and leaves .sigs
in, Forte Agent or Gravity will snip them and insert your own
    automagically.
