    BBC
The Government consider surcharging speeding motorists five pounds "to
    help victims of crime".

    Lovely.

    Not just motorists though.

"Other on-the-spot fines, such as being drunk in public or owning a hoax
bike, would also carry the extra charge."

I could see this hitting URRM hard.

Makes you want to emigrate to Scotland but for the weather. Especially
now that I can manage to understand about 1/3 of what they're saying.

Yes, isn't it? I especially liked the part where they've actually
worked out how much money that would bring in.

Have they all been to Amsterdam recently and are still smoking the
stuff they brought back with them?

  10. This will, of course, be ring-fenced for helping the victims of small
numberplates etc, and not simply hoovered up by the Treasury.

  12. I've got an idea. Why not get the criminals to pay for it?

I didn't vote for this bunch of bastards.

Good idea. Make the fuckers work instead of letting them play pool and
    watch telly.

Ahh, that'd be the DEFRA minister's fkn wunderful idea to forclose on the
'guranteed consultation period' about country side use by more than a year
and give the bobble hatted twats what the big rambling presumably has picked
up as a desperate possible vote winner and ban vehicles from the several
thousand miles of green lanes they currently have access to, would it?

I voted for them. Twice. I won't do it a fkn third time.

They need to rebadge now the old image is tarnished......

Any advance on the "Let's pick on riders and drivers party"?

Having listened to the Official Tart, Transport Spokesperson on the
radio, she stated that " Speeding is not a victimless crime. People
get hurt and killed due to excessive speed, and people who speed are
criminals like any other ... "
    WTF did?

Do you think the Tories [1] would do anything, fundamentally, different?
Or would they be exactly the same without any pretence at social
responsibility and even more craven towards the US.

[1] I'm not suggesting you'd vote Tory but they are the opposition and
likely to receive the 'anti' vote.
