I was proceeding in a westerly direction along the A5 in North Wales when I noticed that the villages, although furnished with street lamps, were not marked by any speed limit signs. I assumed that the limit was 30mph but nobody else seemed to do so. Is the law different in Wales? Is it a plot by Brunstrom? All English villages seem to have signs as well as lights.
