Speedin fines on the Bazza ride

Talkin to a mate today apparently the speed cameras on GP week made
$100 a min, including a pile of bikes FOLLOWING THE COP CAR on the
Sheene Memorial ride..

Anyone know more?

 

I'm suprised that this story has taken so long to surface.
Me thinks it was the Sat morning Cranbourne ride;
there were about?? 100 bikes involved; The MRA
were stirred up about it and there was the possibility
of a class action being taken.
I wonder about that... the law is the law!!!
With the stuff-up on this one, and the complaints on the
Bazza Ride that I had previously addressed (to Morwell)
and evidently it got even worse after that on the
slightly twisty bits to Mirboo North.... one wonders
if there is any future for such organized events?

I have been to the Gp's in 89 and 97 and noticed the changes from being
very bike friendly to very bike unfriendly by the Victorian Gestapo. I
wouldn't waste my time going back to Stalag Vic.
At least the boys in blue up here give you more than 2 to 3 kph over the
limit.

I don't think it was the Bazza ride.
I think it was the Saturday-morning Cranbourne-GP ride.
You've gotta be a tool-head to speed on the GP weekend anyway!
