    Hi,

If you feel that restrictions should not be imposed on the IOM, please go to
the following site and add to the petition.

    Many thanks,

    Dear IOM Government,

As we have restrictive speed laws in the UK I am appaled that your little
island wants to follow suit. This is outragous and totally unfair. For
many years now we have been coming over to your fair isle and thrashing
our bikes around. Now I appreciate this may upset the locals and increase
the cost of health services due to the occasional biker flinking
    them selves down the road.

I am sure you will see sense and agree that we non-resident freeloaders
should get a say in your policies.

    I live and work here!

But OK, next time that any of you are over here and cant go for a blat over
the mountain at more than 60MPH or if you do you get hammered for it then I
am sure that you will see that it was a good idea.

I dont want to be the one in a year or so to say "told you so"

Fair enough, but I think you get my point.

    Dear IOM Government,

Further to the letter from my good mate, Bruce (a photo of whose genitals I
was just looking at the other evening; to give you an idea of what he's
like), may I point out that you are the government of a grim little loser
island which has no value at all, except for people who can't wait until
they get to Ireland to have a piss.

I remind you that your main industry is tourism and a large part of that
trade is bikers making the journey especially so that they can fling
    themselves down your roads.

Should you introduce speed limits then you'll get a lot less bikers and,
eventually, your island will be renamed "The Isle of Tramps", because you'll
all be jobless vagrants shouting, "Lend us ten pee for a cup of tea" to
    ferries, as they sail past.

    You have been warned.

  7. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "AndrewR"
That's the thing, though, innit. The 'lets put bikers off' lobby is
composed of millionaire incomers and retirees who think they now run the
place. The loss of a few million quid of tourist revenue wouldn't bother
them in the slightest. All more peace and quiet for them, iwt.

That's a laugh. Tourism only really exists for two weeks of the year. The
economy relies on Financial, Insurance and related industries.

    What about the other events?
Don't they have various rallies and things?
And of course the famous barbecue at Summerland.

  11. Aha.

Sneaky little buggers are trying to install a speed limit while I'm not on
    the Island?

    <thinks>

Prolly better than doing it while I am on the Island...

  12. Nah. Not been lurking. Just not been here.

And "Weird" is the answer. Watching the summer gently go by from Bletchley
with my bike still in Douglas.

    ARSE!
