Briefly, school bus driver snapped alledgedly doing 81 mph able to prove
that the gatso was wrong and he was doing 29 at the time.

I wonder how many people get done under similar circumstances and don't
have the benefit of a tachograph to proof innocence?

Good good - keep them coming.

The more things like this, the more the papers are likely to get an agenda
and hopefully the more embarressed the 'safety' partnernships can feel.

And if they can prove that the mobile readers aren't so accurate after all -
    even better.

Well since they set up a camera that was incorrectly set (for 50 instead
of 70), and then failed to contact the people who had been wrongly
convicted[1], I'd say they are incapable of feeling embarrassment.

    [1] I still don't understand why this failure wasn't a conspiracy to
    pervert the course of justice.

I did. I knew I was doing 30 but was NIPped for 41.

After it took 18 months to get the video evidence out of the police it
came to "our day in court" and the prosecution stood up and said "The
    crown offers no evidence".

This prevented us showing the court the police evidence which proved
that the camera had incorrectly measured my speed (and hence throwing
doubt on the measured speed of everyone else on that particular tour of
    duty).

I wonder how many people who weren't speeding just paid up.
