Just had the 15 year old exhaust repaired today and I can confirm there is
no collar in it, as expected :)

I have only recently got the bike so don't yet know what has been done to
it, but given its age I suspect it's had the lot.

Bought two front sprockets today, £4 each, a 14 and a 15. Will try them out
    to see which is best.

Many thanks for all who have chipped in to this thread.

I don't remember ever having that problem with mine tbh. I think 75mph
was doing well though, IIRC, my trusty ol' DT used to do about 70 on the
    flat.

Well, I suppose I'm exagerating with the "very very wobbly". 70 is a PoP
    with my KTM.

I rode a Yamaha Sarrow 225 on the road with fill knobbly non road tyres
on it. That was actually fun, it felt like it was going to swap ends at
    an indicated 60mph.

Well, if you'd hung around on the camping trip until the Sunday instead of
shooting back to your sofa, and I knew you were interested, and it wasn't
pissing with rain, then I would have brought it down.

That's a lot of ifs and ands. I did see you btw, you were just leaving
on your gixxer as I was coming in in the Mondeo, we did give each other
a nod but I certainly didn't know who you were and I guess you didn't
have a clue it was me, either.

    Of course.
Ah, I wondered if you were a UKRMer. Next time you should say hello, I
think the bike is the clue. :)
