Yes, there will be a third special session.

I think that there will actually be enough there to conduct business during
    this next special session.

One of the Demos has decided to break from the ranks of those evading their
legal duties by hiding out in New Mexico.

The redistricting bill will move along to the court system after it it
    passed, if it is passed.

That is the best that I can do with my cracked and burned Iraqi Army surplus
    Crystal Ball at the moment.

  2. Bravo for Senator Whitmire. I takes guts to break with his party, but
clearly he realized that the "strategy" they were taking wasn't in the
    best interest of the state.

I liked what he said... that his main interest was to look after the
interest of the Texas Senate, not national or partisan politics. The man
remembers why his constituients sent him to Austin.

Not surprisingly, his Democratic colleagues were quick to attack him
personally for this decision, calling his motives into question. It
appears that they can't fathom that a fellow Democrat would put the good
of the state ahead of party politics.
