Speaking of Croft

I am thinking of doing my first ever track day there.

Prices seem pretty reasonable and everywhere else is fucking miles away from
me.

Looking on the interwebby it looks a bit, erm, technical. Is it too much
for a track virgin?

Also, given that I need my bike, really, anybody care to recommend somewhere
that does insurance for trackdays?

1997 Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace in black and blue. My top section is
missing a section behind the left mirror, Ideally I'd like a replacement
top fairing in the same colour scheme, but any colour will do as long as
it isn't missing any bits, or just has a crack somewhere. I can always
get it painted.

 

What from my house? Have you got a van I can put the bike in?

Well I've looked at a couple of sites and they seem to be in the 90 to 100
quid range.

Not at all. I've done 5 or 6 track days there. When are you thinking
of?

 

It just so happens I know the exact place - just coming into the
Complex. I'll show you if you like.

They're not overly cheap and you have to pay for your own bodywork plus a
500 quid excess.

I might be better off with a set of crash 'shrooms and using my brain, I

What's the matter with the poofter - since when ha a bruised todger
excused one from mechaniking duties?

 

The brain would wear away quite fast and not prevent the bike being damaged?

 

He's been ordered to have 4-6 weeks of bed rest to sort his hip out.

Imagine that ... 6 weeks in bed with a todger that's too sore to touch.
