I am thinking of doing my first ever track day there. Prices seem pretty reasonable and everywhere else is fucking miles away from me. Looking on the interwebby it looks a bit, erm, technical. Is it too much for a track virgin? Also, given that I need my bike, really, anybody care to recommend somewhere that does insurance for trackdays? -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1 BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, TEAR#3 (and KotL), DS#5, COSOC#9, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
AndrewR says... Could you do me a big favour. Have a scout through the gravel traps there and see if the bit off my fairing is still in there from when the previous owner dropped it, please.
We will pick you up no probs. What is it you want to know? Prices? The novices usually do ok without crashing. Lozzo, which fairing part? we've got hundreds.
joe parkin says... Hundreds of parts of fairings, or hundreds of good fairings? 1997 Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace in black and blue. My top section is missing a section behind the left mirror, Ideally I'd like a replacement top fairing in the same colour scheme, but any colour will do as long as it isn't missing any bits, or just has a crack somewhere. I can always get it painted.
What from my house? Have you got a van I can put the bike in? That really is very kind of you. Well I've looked at a couple of sites and they seem to be in the 90 to 100 quid range. Sound about right? Until now ... Have they ever had a twat trying to do a complete lap while staring at their knee? -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1 BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, TEAR#3 (and KotL), DS#5, COSOC#9, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
Friday 18th June. Interested in coming along to show me how it's done? I can't see Eddie being up for it. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1 BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, TEAR#3 (and KotL), DS#5, COSOC#9, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
I have this bookmarked, but I've never used them, and I've barely looked past the index page. http://www.pitandpaddock.com/ Good luck.
Cheers Ben. They're not overly cheap and you have to pay for your own bodywork plus a 500 quid excess. I might be better off with a set of crash 'shrooms and using my brain, I think. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1 BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, TEAR#3 (and KotL), DS#5, COSOC#9, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.

What's the matter with the poofter - since when ha a bruised todger excused one from mechaniking duties?
He's been ordered to have 4-6 weeks of bed rest to sort his hip out.
