  1. For those fond of italian bikes, the 2006 edition of Trofeo Rosso will
take place on July 22th & 23th at Le Vigeant, near Poitiers (France).

Great fun. Have been for the last two years. Not actually done a proper
track session yet, but maybe this year.

In 2004 I took part in what the organisers billed as a parade for
'family outfits'. Not being quite sure what to expect SWMBO and sprog
elected to watch rather than participate. This left me as the only
left-hand chaired outfit with not a great deal of weight to play with
despite loading the RS3 with every last bit of spare gear. The parade
started off very sedately, but the guys on solos leading it just went
faster and faster. 20 minutes later it was virtually a full on track
session. I had a distinct advantage in the right-handers and the old
Mille had got the legs of one or two well laden rigs, but left-handers
were hairy to say the least.

No bike with me last year so just a spectator. A very laid back
atmosphere with free admission to the paddock where you can see Italian
exotica you are unlikely to see anywhere else - also several Voxans :)
    Plenty of camping space.

A completely flat, but very technical circuit. The only long straight is
the start finish. Loads of bends as the circuit keeps doubling back on
itself to be contained within a surprisingly small area.

Apparently the track time is being rapidly filled up, so if you want to
ride the circuit you would need to get an entry in.
